Dragon Gate is rapidly expanding along the E4 and evolving into one of Sweden’s most exciting meeting places. It has now been confirmed that Alsike Maskin will move into the new facility being developed on the site. The investment covers 3,600 square metres and is expected to create around 20 new jobs in Älvkarleby.
Alsike Maskin is one of Sweden’s largest players in the leisure vehicle sector, with facilities in both Knivsta and Uppsala. The company represents several of the market’s leading motorhome brands, including Kabe, Adria, Affinity and Sun Living. The establishment at Dragon Gate marks a new step in Alsike Maskin’s expansion. The new facility will feature a modern glulam showroom for motorhomes and caravans, along with a fully equipped workshop for service and maintenance. Plans also include around 30 pitches for visiting motorhomes and caravans.
“We see Dragon Gate as a location with enormous potential. Its strategic position along the E4 allows us to reach both the local market and the thousands of travellers moving along Sweden’s most important transport route. Here, we can meet the growing needs of our customers while also contributing to the development of the area. The new facility will be a key milestone for us,”
says Andreas Burlin, Sales Manager at Alsike Maskin.
The establishment is part of the ongoing transformation of Dragon Gate, which is steadily being developed into a vibrant hub for commerce, culture and services.
“We are building a meeting place for the future. Alsike Maskin’s decision to invest in Dragon Gate highlights the area’s appeal and creates growth and opportunities for the entire region,” says Ted Rundquist, spokesperson for Dragon Gate.
Recruitment is already under way, with around 20 new positions to be filled. Roles include site manager, sales staff, workshop manager, service technicians, service advisors and vehicle care technicians.
The new facility is scheduled for completion in spring 2026 and will be an important addition to the local business community, Alsike Maskin’s growth, and the future of Dragon Gate.
