An experience for the builders

As construction at Dragon Gate gained momentum, the builders were given their first tour of the museum. They stepped into a place that has now become part of Swedish history, where grand elements intertwine with unique craftsmanship. The tour offered a glimpse of how much is already in place and how much more awaits when the area opens to the public.

Encounter with the Terracotta Army

First, they entered the hall where the Terracotta Army stands on display. The builders paused, taking in the rows of life-sized soldiers. Their expressions said it all, and many were astonished. “It’s so incredibly vast and powerful,” one of them remarked. For over 20 years, the Terracotta Army has stood guard at Dragon Gate in Älvkarleby.

The Arcade and the World’s Largest Wooden Relief

One of the most impressive moments of the tour came in the arcade, where the world’s largest wooden relief stretches along the walls. The massive wooden artwork spans 160 meters and is filled with handcrafted details. “An extraordinary piece of craftsmanship,” one of the builders remarked.

The tour served as a reminder of the treasure Dragon Gate holds.
