The area around Dragon Gate is larger than many city centers, offering space for everything from retail and workshops to restaurants.
Sustainable thermal energy
A new pellet-based facility is being built to provide the entire area with eco-friendly heating, fully prepared to support the hotel launch.
The next chapter begins now
Today, Dragon Gate is owned by two entrepreneurs with roots in Uppland. Their ambition is to develop the entire area into a vibrant place for travelers, local commerce and new businesses.
The first step has already been taken.
Joey’s Gelato has established both a shop and on-site production at the location. A new industrial building is being constructed. Roofs are being renovated. A heating system is being installed to supply the entire site, including the hotel in the future.

Alsike Maskin’s new facility
Alsike Maskin is building its new 3600 square meter facility at Dragon Gate, adding about 25 jobs and playing a key role in the area’s ongoing development.
Finally, we’re clearing out the old construction debris along the E4
Old construction debris along the E4 at Dragon Gate is finally being cleared. The land is being restored and prepared for future use as the area moves toward becoming a lively, welcoming meeting place.

With electric vehicle charging, sustainable energy and modern features, a safe and welcoming rest stop is being planned here. The ambition is to revive one of Sweden’s most unique landmarks — step by step.
