A site for activity and connectivity
A natural meeting point right in the flow
Dragon Gate is located right along the E4 in Älvkarleby. Millions of vehicles pass through here every year between Gävle and Uppsala. With direct access to both road and nature, the site is ideal for rest, commerce and service.
30,000 vehicles per day
That’s how many pass by Dragon Gate each day via the E4 highway. The location sits right on one of Sweden’s most important transport routes.
15 hectares of land
The area around Dragon Gate is larger than many city centers, offering space for everything from retail and workshops to restaurants.
Sustainable thermal energy
A new pellet-based facility is being built to provide the entire area with eco-friendly heating, fully prepared to support the hotel launch.
The next chapter begins now
Today, Dragon Gate is owned by two entrepreneurs with roots in Uppland. Their ambition is to develop the entire area into a vibrant place for travelers, local commerce and new businesses.
The first step has already been taken.
Joey’s Gelato has established both a shop and on-site production at the location. A new industrial building is being constructed. Roofs are being renovated. A heating system is being installed to supply the entire site, including the hotel in the future.
